Big Rock Jazz & Blues Fest

In 2016 the Olmsted Parks Conservancy posted a call for entries to design an image for the annual Big Rock Jazz & Blues Fest.

I created a layered, two color design that consisted of water ripples (for the creek of Big Rock), a record (referencing the age of Jazz of Blues), and recognizable silhouettes of some of the greats (Miles Davis and Memphis Minnie).

My design was the final one chosen and was so liked that it was then repurposed the following year in new colors. The image was used on various collateral and marketing materials, including t-shirts I was excited to find on sale in a local grocer.
