So for Christmas this year, I made a ‘mixed tape’ for my family and friends. When I first began putting this collection together, the idea was simply to find songs that were about being happy, or made people happy to hear them. A collection of songs you could put on when life started getting the better of you and you needed something to bring a smile back to your face.
The first uncut playlist, which was much too long for a single disc, included a lot of classic favorites that everyone knows. However, I found that I was skipping most of these well-known songs simply because everyone already knew them and because they weren’t ‘mine.’ I realized I wanted not only a playlist of happy songs but also to share the music and artists I personally enjoy listening to.
With that in mind, the result is a blend of both agendas and not all of these songs fit perfectly together, but they’re all artists or songs that I enjoy and wanted to share with you – because you’re awesome.
I hope you enjoy them too. The playlist is available on Spotify, and a better view of the packaging is here (I’ve waited so long to post this because some people still haven’t received them yet — I tend to have a 2-month long Christmas)
