This year for Christmas, I realized that most of the people I gift have everything they need (or what they need is more than I can afford) so I decided to give them the gift of my time.However, I couldn’t go in empty-handed (even when all of these carry with them a monetary component) so I made these ‘tickets’ as symbols of the gift I was giving.

They were based loosely off of the Golden Tickets from Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, but the only thing that lasted was the general tone of the copy. The illustrations were all started as free vector art I gathered online (what can I say, I got started late and time was running out), and the paper stock was a heavy pearlescent. Overall I was happy with the final result and they got ‘good reviews’ during the holidays. Someone even suggested I could sell things like this online. Maybe people would buy, maybe they wouldn’t. But if you know anyone who can program an online PDF generator (e.g. input your name, pick a template, and get a PDF), let me know.

I hope you had a fantastic 2012, and may you find the time in 2013 to show those you care about how much they mean to you by giving them the gift of your time.

While I altered all of the illustrations to varying degrees, the original artwork is as follows:
• the soap bubble is credited J. Romero;
• the opera glasses are from VladimirMacHolzraum (Kevin) on deviantart, and (I’m now realizing) were based off of art from My Little Ponies;
• the cutlery and plate were originally drawn by DaPino Webdesign;
• and the bottle was drawn by Ian Yates.
All other elements were designed and illustrated by me.
